User Forum Are you using Patient Agreements as a "Risk Communication" tool?

      One of the “aha!” moments we have seen in some primary care settings, is that the signed Patient Agreement can also serve the purpose of communicating to patients and their families, the risks associated with long-term use of opioids for chronic pain. Some have even included a box next to each statement about each risk within the agreement for patients to initial indicating that they understand.

      What has been your experience and what do you think of this idea?
